Call To Worship
Scripture Reading: Exodus 13:20-22
20 And they moved on from Succoth and encamped at Etham, on the edge of the wilderness.
21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night.
22 The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night did not depart from before the people.
Prayer of Invocation
Declaring What We Believe:
All My Boast Is in Jesus
Verse 1
What wonder of wonders, what love is this; that Christ would die for me!
His goodness, His merit, His righteousness, this sinner’s only plea.
O foolish pride, be crucified; the work is finished!
Chorus:
All my boast is in Jesus; all my hope is His love.
And I will glory forever in what the Cross has done.
Verse 2
Now fully forgiven, my life is filled with graces underserved.
For mercy that flowed down that sacred hill, let praises now return.
Rise up, my soul, and bless the Lord! Who else is worthy?
Repeat Chorus
Bridge:
O, Praise the One, forever blessed! Him alone my heart adores.
And I will boast in nothing else than the love of Christ my Lord
Repeat Bridge
Verse 3
I boast not in riches, in strength or might, but in the grace of God.
I glory in weakness, to live is Christ in plenty or in want.
That I may know that all may see His power within me!
Repeat Chorus
Coda:
Now I stand in this freedom; ransomed, clean in His sight,
And I cannot be ashamed for my boast is Jesus Christ.
My boast is Jesus Christ. Forever, my boast is Jesus Christ.

We Respond to God’s Presence
Show Us Christ
- Prepare our hearts, O God, help us to receive;
Break the hard and stony ground, help our unbelief.
Plant Your Word down deep in us; cause it to bear fruit.
Open up our ear to hear; come lead us in Your truth.
Chorus: Show us Christ; show us Christ.
O God, reveal Your glory
Through the preaching of Your Word
Until every heart confesses Christ is Lord.
- Your Word is living light upon our darkened eyes,
Guards us through temptations, makes the simple wise.
Your Word is food for famished ones, freedom for the slave,
Riches for the needy soul—come speak to us today.
Chorus: Show us Christ; show us Christ.
O God, reveal Your glory
Through the preaching of Your Word
Until every heart confesses Christ is Lord.
Bridge: Where else can we go, Lord,
Where else can we go?
You have the words of eternal life. (Repeat)
Chorus: Show us Christ; show us Christ.
O God, reveal Your glory
Through the preaching of Your Word
Until every heart confesses Christ is Lord

My Worth is Not in What I Own
My worth is not in what I own, not in the strength of flesh and bone
But in the costly wounds of love at the cross
My worth is not in skill or name, in win or lose, in pride or shame
But in the blood of Christ that flowed at the cross
Refrain:
I rejoice in my Redeemer; Greatest Treasure, Wellspring of my soul
I will trust in Him, no other. My soul is satisfied in Him alone.
As summer flowers we fade and die; Fame, youth and beauty hurry by
But life eternal calls to us at the cross
I will not boast in wealth or might or human wisdom’s fleeting light
But I will boast in knowing Christ at the cross
Repeat Refrain:
Two wonders here that I confess: My worth and my unworthiness
My value fixed - my ransom paid at the cross
Repeat Refrain:

Children’s Sermon Song:
Rolled Away
Rolled away, rolled away, rolled away,
ev’ry burden of my heart rolled away.
Rolled away rolled away, rolled away,
ev’ry burden of my heart rolled away.
Ev’ry sin had to go ‘neath the crimson flow, hallelujah!
Rolled away, rolled away, rolled away,
ev’ry burden of my heart rolled away!

Sermon Hymn:
We Are People on a Journey
Verse 1
We are people on a journey, following where the Master walks.
We are people on a journey in the shadow of the cross.
What compels? The face of Jesus! Who protects? Our faithful guide:
He who treads the road of service, Christ the Lord, the crucified.
Verse 2
We are people on a journey, taking up the cross of Christ.
We are people on a journey, moving on from death to life.
We release the sin that tangles. We relinquish all acclaim.
We receive the suffering Savior, he our glory, wealth, and fame.
Verse 3
We are people on a journey to the table of the Lord.
We are people on a journey, fed by water and the Word.
We remember, we remember how you wash disciples’ feet.
We remember on the last night gifts of wine and bread to eat.
Verse 4
We are people on a journey, rising up in life reborn.
We are people on a journey, speaking peace, accepting scorn.
We are walking toward a homeland, to a mystery yet unknown,
To a kingdom coming quickly to the light of God’s own throne.

Go, My Children, with My Blessing
Verse 1
Go, my children, with my blessing, never alone.
Waking, sleeping, I am with you; you are my own.
In my love’s baptismal river I have made you mine forever.
Go, my children, with my blessing; you are my own.
Verse 2
Go, my children, sins forgiven, at peace and pure.
Here you learned how much I love you, what I can cure.
Here you heard my dear Son’s story;
here you touched him, saw his glory.
Go, my children, sins forgiven, at peace and pure.
Verse 3
Go, my children, fed and nourished, closer to me.
Grow in love and love by serving, joyful and free.
Here my Spirit’s power filled you; here his tender comfort stilled you.
Go, my children, fed and nourished, joyful, and free.
