Red Hymnal #92 “The Solid Rock”
Call To Worship
Scripture Reading: Psalm 78:56-62; 38-39
56 Yet they tested and rebelled against the Most High God
and did not keep His testimonies,57 but turned away and acted treacherously like their fathers;
they twisted like a deceitful bow.58 For they provoked Him to anger with their high places;
they moved Him to jealousy with their idols.59 When God heard, He was full of wrath,
and He utterly rejected Israel.60 He forsook His dwelling at Shiloh,
the tent where He dwelt among mankind,61 and delivered His power to captivity,
His glory to the hand of the foe.62 He gave His people over to the sword
and vented His wrath on His heritage.38 Yet He, being compassionate,
atoned for their iniquity
and did not destroy them;He restrained His anger often
and did not stir up all His wrath.39 He remembered that they were but flesh,
a wind that passes and comes not again.Prayer of Invocation
Declaring What We Believe:
The Nicene Creed
All:
We believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
Men & Boys:
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,
begotten from the Father before all ages,
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,
begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father.
Women & Girls
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven;
he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary,
and was made man.
Jubilee Singers
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered and was buried.
Women & Girls:
The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures.
He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
Men & Boys:
He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead.
His kingdom will never end.
All:
And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life.
He proceeds from the Father and the Son,
and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified.
He spoke through the prophets.
We believe in one holy universal and apostolic church.
We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look forward to the resurrection of the dead,
and to life in the world to come.
Amen.
We Respond to God’s Presence
Song of the Prophets
Ancient Prophets
In ages past the mighty Lord by prophets spoke the Word,
And from their lips God’s great design throughout the earth was heard.
In revelation, parable, bold fantasy, and dream,
They echoed God’s eternal vow to ransom and redeem.
Amos
The Lord in holiness has sworn the time shall surely come
when evil foes are cast aside, the righteous gathered home.
With humble hearts the faithful take their place among the least,
and those who dine with servants greet the Giver of the feast.
Prophets’ Promise
Yet still in present, troubled days we seek to hear God’s voice
And in the face of our distress, find reason to rejoice.
Grant us the wisdom to discern through faith who we should be—
A fallen race, restored through grace, a captive world set free

My Hope Rests Firm
- My hope rests firm on Jesus Christ, He is my only plea.
Though all the world should point and scorn,
His ransom leaves me free, His ransom leaves me free.
- My hope sustains me as I strive and strain towards the goal;
Though still I stumble into sin,
His death paid for it all, His death paid for it all.
- My hope provides me with a spur to help me run this race:
I know my tears will turn to joy the day I see His face,
The day I see His face.
- My hope is to be with my Lord, to know as I am known;
To serve Him gladly all my days in praise before His throne,
In praise before His throne.

Let Justice Flow
Refrain:
Let justice flow down, down like a river,
down to the valleys where the helpless cry.
Let righteousness flow through us forever.
Lead us to the stream that will never run dry.
- Flow to the mouths of the hungry; flow to the hands of the poor.
Flow to the hearts of the orphans; heal the wounds of war. (Refrain)
- Flow to the streets of the homeless; finding no place they can go.
Flow to the cells of the prisoners facing each day alone. (Refrain)
- Flow through the courts of our nation; guide us in love’s decrees.
Lead us to streams of salvation; fill our land with peace. (Refrain)

Red Hymnal #466 “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”
Children’s Song:
Trinity Song
Verse 1
God the Father, God the Son, God the Spirit, three in one.
God the Father loves me so, Gave His Word so I would know.
God the Father, God the Son, God the Spirit three in one.
Verse 2
Three in one and one in three, God the Son, He died for me.
For my sins His blood He gave, then He rose up from the grave.
Three in one and one in three, God the Son He died for me.
Verse 3
Three in one and one in three, God the Spirit lives in me.
Day by day and hour by hour- Helps me witness by His power.
Three in one and one in three, God the Spirit lives in me.

Now unto Him
Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling
And to make you stand in His presence
Blameless and with great joy.
To the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
Be the glory and the majesty, dominion and authority,
Both now and forever. Amen
Give Him the glory and the majesty, dominion and authority,
Both now and forever. Amen (Jude 24-25)
