Psalm 32 B Blue Psalter, pg 208
“You Are My Hiding Place”
Forgive Our Sins as We Forgive
- “Forgive our sins as we forgive,” You taught us, Lord, to pray
But You alone can grant us grace To live the words we say.
- How can Your pardon reach and bless the unforgiving heart
That broods on wrongs and will not let old bitterness depart.
- In blazing light Your cross reveals The truth we dimly knew:
What trivial debts are owed to us; How great our debt to You!
- Lord, cleanse the depths within our souls And bid resentment cease;
Then bound to all in bonds of love, Our lives will spread Your peace.

Call To Worship
Scripture Reading: Psalm 32
1 Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered.2 Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity,
and in whose spirit there is no deceit.3 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah5 I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not cover my iniquity;I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,”
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah6 Therefore let everyone who is godly
offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found;
surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him.7 You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you.9 Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding,
which must be curbed with bit and bridle,
or it will not stay near you.10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked,
but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the LORD.11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous,
and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!.Prayer of Invocation

All creation rises to rejoice

Come let us adore Him
Behold our King nothing can compare
Come let us adore Him!

Who can question any of His Words?
Who can teach the One who knows all things?
Who can fathom all His wondrous deeds?

Bearing all the guilt of sinful man?
God eternal humbled to the grave
Jesus, Savior risen now to reign!

Lord, We Wait
- Lord, we wait for the day of Your appearing:
Lord, we wait for Your coming in the clouds.
Refrain: With a shout the trumpet will sound,
and the dead will be raised to life,
and we shall meet Him in the air.
- In that day, death is swallowed up in vict’ry;
In that day, sin and death shall be no more. (Refrain)
- Now in part - we see shadows of His glory;
Then in full - we shall see Him face to face! (Refrain)

Children’s Sermon Hymn:
Tenth Commandment
Do Not Covet
- When your wishful thinking turns to greed,
See how God has given all you need.
Plenteous riches from his kindness springs;
Do not covet; be content in all things.
- When your bitter labor fails to yield
equal produce to your neighbor’s field;
Do not scorn the fruit God’s bounty brings;
Do not covet; be content in all things.
- See the birds that God has blessed with food;
Splendid flowers, with such grace imbued.
See, around us all creation sings; do not covet;
Be content in all things.
