    Call To Worship

    Scripture Reading:                                                  Deuteronomy 6:4-9

    4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

    5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

    6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.

    7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

    8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

    9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

    Prayer of Invocation

    Declaring What We Believe

    Be Strong in the Lord

    Be strong in the Lord, and be of good courage;

    Your mighty Defender is always the same.

    Mount up with wings, as the eagle ascending;

    Victory is sure when you call on His name.

    Chorus:     Be strong, be strong, be strong in the Lord;

    And be of good courage, for He is your guide.

    Be strong, be strong, be strong in the Lord;

    And rejoice for the victory is yours.

    So put on the armor the Lord has provided,

    And place your defense in His unfailing care.

    Trust Him for He will be with you in battle,

    Lighting your path to avoid every snare.   Repeat Chorus

    Be strong in the Lord, and be of good courage;

    Your mighty Commander will vanquish the foe.

    Fear not the battle for the victory is always His;

    He will protect you wherever you go.        Repeat Chorus

    We Respond to God’s Presence

    The Battle Belongs to the Lord

    In heavenly armor we’ll enter the land,

    The battle belongs to the Lord.

    No weapon that’s fashioned against us will stand,

    The battle belongs to the Lord.

    Chorus:   And we sing glory, honor, power and strength to the Lord.

    We sing glory, honor, power and strength to the Lord.

    When the power of darkness comes in like a flood,

    The battle belongs to the Lord.

    He’ll raise up a standard, the pow’r of His blood,

    The battle belongs to the Lord.                       Repeat Chorus

    When your enemy presses in hard, do not fear,

    The battle belongs to the Lord.

    Take courage my friend, your redemption is near,

    The battle belongs to the Lord.                       Repeat Chorus

    God, The Uncreated One

    Verse 1

    God the uncreated One, the Author of salvation;

    Who wrote the laws of space and time,

    Who fashioned worlds to His design.

    The One whom angel hosts revere, hung the stars like chandeliers,

    Numbered every grain of sand, knows the heart of every man.

    He is King forever, He is King forever, He is King forevermore.

    Verse 2

    God our fortress and our strength, the Rock on which we can depend;

    Matchless in His majesty, His power and authority.

    Unshaken by the schemes of man, never changing, great I AM,

    Kingdoms rise and kingdoms fall, He is faithful through it all.

    Crown Him King forever, crown Him King forever,

    Crown Him King forevermore.

    Verse 3

    Mighty God in mortal flesh, forsaken by a traitor’s kiss;

    The curse of sin and centuries did pierce the lowly Prince of Peace.

    Oh, lifted high, the sinless man, crucified the spotless Lamb,

    Buried by the sons of man, rescued by the Father’s hand

    To reign as King forever, reign as King forever,

    reign as King forevermore.

    Verse 4

    King Eternal, God of Grace, we crown you with the highest praise;

    Heaven shouts and saints adore, “You’re holy, holy, holy, Lord!”

    What joy is everlasting life, all is love and faith is sight;

    Justice rolls and praises rise, at the Name of Jesus Christ.

    King of kings forever, King of kings forever, King of kings forevermore.

    Great Is the Lord Almighty

    Bridge:

    The Lord reigns. He is a mighty God. The Lord God reigns.

    The Lord reigns. He is a mighty God. The Lord God reigns.

    1)      When the children of Israel came to the brink,

    He led them through letting Pharaoh sink.

    Then the children were dancing as old Pharaoh sank down,

    Lifting up a mighty joyful sound. Singing:

    Refrain:

    Great is the Lord Almighty, He is Lord; He is God indeed.

    Great is the Lord Almighty, He is God Supreme.

    Great is the Lord Almighty, He is Lord; He is God indeed

    Great is the Lord, Great is the Lord.

    Repeat Bridge

    2)         When the children of God came up to Jericho town,

    The Lord said, “Children, let's walk around.”

    So for seven whole days they walked around that great wall

    Till the Lord said, “Shout! and watch it fall, Children.”

    Repeat Refrain and then Bridge

    3.)        When His children were dying and lost in their sin,

    My God died and He rose again;

    And I’ve been rejoicing since He took my blame.

    I thank You Jesus! Praise Your name!

    Repeat Refrain

    Sermon Hymn:

    O Church, Arise

    O Church, arise, and put your armor on;

    hear the call of Christ our Captain.

    For now the weak can say that they are strong

    in the strength that God has given.

    With a shield of faith and belt of Truth,

    we’ll stand against the devil’s lies;

    And army bold, whose battle cry is love,

    reaching out to those in darkness.

    Our call to war to love the captive soul,

    but to rage against the captor;

    And with the sword that makes the wounded whole,

    we will fight with faith and valor.

    When faced with trials on every side,

    we know the outcome is secure,

    And Christ will have the prize for which He died

    – an inheritance of nations.

    Come see the cross, where love and mercy meet,

    as the Son of God is stricken;

    Then see His foes lie crushed beneath His feet,

    for the Conqueror has risen!

    And as the stone is rolled away

    and Christ emerges from the grave,

    This victory march continues till the day

    every eye and heart shall see Him.

    So Spirit come, put strength in every stride,

    give grace for every hurdle,

    That we may run with faith to win the prize

    of a servant good and faithful.

    As saints of old still line the way,

    retelling triumphs of His grace,

    We hear their calls and hunger for the day

    when with Christ we stand in Glory.
