Welcome
Gathering the Family Together
Rejoice
- Rejoice in the Lord, now and always, sing it again, we rejoice.
Delight in the love He has shown us, gratefully lift up your voice.
His gentleness among us will join our hearts with praise.
We gather in His goodness, a family of grace.
- Rejoice and be anxious for nothing, praying for all that you need.
Come with a song of thanksgiving; lay your requests at His feet.
His peace will fall upon us, to guard our hearts and minds
In Christ, who reigns eternal; the Shepherd of our lives.
Refrain:
With each breath He’s given, praise the Lord!
In these times we live in, we will praise the Lord.
Throughout every season, I am sure
we have every reason to praise the Lord.
- Rejoice in the Lord, now and always; tell of the good He has done.
Worship the Lord, to remember all of the joy yet to come.
The hope that burns within us the dark cannot destroy,
With praise that’s never ending, we say again, “Rejoice!”
Repeat Refrain
We have every reason to praise the Lord.

Call To Worship
Scripture Reading: I Timothy 4:6-10
6 If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed.
7 Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness;
8 for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
9 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance.
10 For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.
Prayer of Invocation
Declaring What We Believe
Christ as Mediator
(Westminster Confession of Faith, Chapter 8.1 & 8.5)
In his eternal purpose, it pleased God to choose and ordain the Lord Jesus, his only begotten Son, to be the mediator between God and man. Jesus is the prophet, priest, and king, the head and savior of his church, the heir of all things, and judge of the world. From all eternity, God gave him a people to be his seed and to be in time redeemed, called, justified, sanctified, and glorified by him.
By his perfect obedience and sacrifice, offered up to God once and for all through the eternal Spirit, the Lord Jesus has completely satisfied the justice of his Father and purchased not only reconciliation but also an everlasting inheritance in the kingdom of heaven for everyone whom the Father has given to him.
We Respond to God’s Presence
I Have Hidden Your Word in My Heart
(Psalm 119:11-13,18)
Verse 1
I have hidden your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
I have hidden your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
Open my eyes, that I may see, wonderful things in your Law.
Open my eyes, that I may see, wonderful things in your Law!
Chorus
Praise be to you, Lord, teach me your decrees, teach me your decrees.
Praise be to you, Lord, teach me your decrees, teach me your decrees.
Praise be, praise be, praise be to you, Lord!
Verse 2
With my lips I recount all the laws,
all the laws that come from your mouth.
With my lips I recount all the laws,
all the laws that come from your mouth.
Open my eyes, that I may see, wonderful things in your Law.
Open my eyes, that I may see, wonderful things in your Law!
Repeat Chorus

Be Still and Know
Psalm 46:4-5, 7-11
Verse:
There is a river whose streams make glad,
The city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall, God will help her at break of day.
Come and see what the Lord has done.
Chorus:
He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
He burns the shields with fire!
He says, “Be still and know that I am God.”
Repeat Verse and Chorus
Bridge:
The Lord Almighty is with us, The God of Jacob is our fortress.
The Lord Almighty is with us.
Come and see what the Lord has done;
Come and see what the Lord has done!
Repeat Chorus
Ending:
He says, “Be still and know that I am God.”
I Cannot Tell
I cannot tell why He whom angels worship
Should set His love upon the sons of men,
Or why, as Shepherd, He should seek the wanderers
To bring them back, they know not how or when.
But this I know, that He was born of Mary
When Bethlehem’s manger was His only home,
And that He lived at Nazareth and labored,
And so the Savior, Savior of the world has come.
I cannot tell how silently He suffered
As with His peace He graced this place of tears,
Or how His heart upon the cross was broken,
The crown of pain to three and thirty years.
But this I know, He heals the broken hearted
And stays our sin and calms our lurking fear,
And lifts the burden from the heavy laden,
For yet the Savior, Savior of the world, is here.
I cannot tell how He will win the nations,
How He will claim His earthly heritage,
Or satisfy the needs and aspirations
Of east and west, of sinner and of sage.
But this I know, all flesh shall see His glory,
And He shall reap the harvest He has sown,
And some glad day His sun will shine in splendor
When He the Savior, Savior of the world, is known.
I cannot tell how all the lands shall worship
When at His bidding every storm is stilled,
Or who can say how great the jubilation
When all the hearts of men with love are filled.
But this I know, the skies will thrill with rapture,
And countless voices then will join to sing.
And earth to heaven, and heaven to earth will answer:
“At last the Savior, Savior of the world, is King!”

Receive the Glory
(Based on Psalm 115:1; Isaiah 43:1; 2 Corinthians 4:7; and Philippians 3:3)
Chorus: Not to us, but to Your name alone,
Be all the glory, the glory, forever.
For Your faithfulness and steadfast love,
Receive the glory, the glory belongs to You.
- All that we’ve accomplished You have done for us.
And any fruit we harvest is a gift from Your hand.
We are only jars of clay that hold a priceless treasure.
And we exist to bring You pleasure, O God. (Chorus)
- Only by Your mercy can we come to You.
Though we deserved Your judgment You have called us by name.
So we glory in the cross of Christ that made us Yours forever,
That joined our lives together to sing. (Chorus)
