    Call To Worship

    Scripture Reading:                                                     I Timothy 1:12-14

    12 I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service,

    13 though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,

    14 and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

    Prayer of Invocation

    Declaring What We Believe

    The Apostle’s Creed

    I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

    And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;

    Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, Born of the virgin Mary;

    Suffered under Pontius Pilate;

    Was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell;

    The third day He rose again from the dead;

    He ascended into heaven,

    And sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;

    From whence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

    I believe in the Holy Ghost;

    The holy universal church; The communion of saints;

    The forgiveness of sins; The resurrection of the body;

    And the life everlasting. Amen.

    We Respond to God’s Presence

    Give Him Glory!

    1. Give glory to Creation’s God, the Source of all that is.

    With but a word, He made the world, and thus the world is His.

    His greatness shouts from distant stars. His goodness shines as light.

    He made all things to bring Him joy, and in Him we delight!

    Chorus:

    We cry,

    “Glory! Honor! Blessing to the King!

    Power! Splendor!” all creation sings.

    We cry,

    “Wisdom! Riches! Thanks unto the Lamb!”

    Endless praises to the great “I Am!”

    1. Give glory to Redemption’s Lamb, the Savior of the lost,

    Who wore our flesh, then bore our curse upon a cruel cross.

    He took the filth and guilt of sin; He took the wrath it earned.

    He reconciled our souls to God—the wayward have returned!

    (Repeat Chorus)

    1. Give glory to the coming King, the Lord of heaven and earth!

    The fallen world, like fallen men, awaits its second birth.

    “Behold, I shall make all things new,” He promised groaning men.

    Dominion shall belong to Christ, and all be right again!

    (Repeat Chorus)

    By Faith

    Verse 1:    By faith we see the hand of God

    In the light of creation’s grand design

    In the lives of those who prove His faithfulness

    Who walk by faith and not by sight

    Verse 2:    By faith our fathers roamed the earth

    With the power of His promise in their hearts

    Of a holy city built by God's own hand

    A place where peace and justice reign

    Refrain:    We will stand as children of the promise

    We will fix our eyes on Him our soul’s reward

    Till the race is finished and the work is done

    We’ll walk by faith and not by sight

    Verse 3:    By faith the prophets saw a day

    When the longed-for Messiah would appear

    With the power to break the chains of sin and death

    And rise triumphant from the grave

    Verse 4:    By faith the church was called to go

    In the power of the Spirit to the lost

    To deliver captives and to preach good news

    In every corner of the earth

    Repeat Refrain

    Verse 5:    By faith this mountain shall be moved

    And the power of the gospel shall prevail

    For we know in Christ all things are possible

    For all who call upon His name

    Repeat Refrain

  • Jesus Saves

    Freedom’s calling, chains are falling, hope is dawning bright and true.

    Day is breaking, night is quaking. God is making all things new.

    Jesus saves.

    1. Hear the heart of heaven beating, “Jesus saves, Jesus saves,”

    And the hush of mercy breathing, “Jesus saves, Jesus saves.”

    Hear the host of angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”

    And the sounding joy repeating, “Jesus saves.”

    1. See the humblest hearts adore Him. Jesus saves. Jesus saves.

    And the wisest bow before Him. Jesus saves. Jesus saves.

    See the sky alive with praise, melting darkness in its blaze.

    There is light forevermore in “Jesus saves.”

    1. He will live, our sorrow sharing. Jesus saves. Jesus saves.

    He will die our burden bearing. Jesus saves. Jesus saves.

    “It is done!” will shout the cross, “Christ has paid redemptions’ cost!”

    While the empty tomb’s declaring, “Jesus saves!”

    Freedom’s calling, chains are falling, hope is dawning bright and true.

    Day is breaking, night is quaking. God is making all things new. (Repeat)

    Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

    1. Oh, to grace, how great a debtor, Jesus saves. Jesus saves.

    Are the saints who shout together, Jesus saves.  Jesus saves.

    Rising up so vast and strong, lifting up salvation’s song.

    The redeemed will sing forever, “Jesus saves!”

    Lift Up the Gates Eternal

    Refrain:     Lift up the gates eternal, lift up your voices;

    The king of glory comes, the nation rejoices.

    1. See, all the earth is God’s, its people and nations:

    God built it on the deeps and laid its foundations.

    1. Who can go up this mountain, who stand in praising?

    Those who are pure, who come with clean hands upraising.

    1. They shall receive forgiveness, and have God’s blessing

    If they will search for God, their Savior confessing.             (Refrain)

    1. Come, lift your voices high, be lifted to glory;

    The Lord our God approaches, come, shout the story.

    1. Who is this glorious one, for whom we are waiting?

    We wait the mighty Lord, our God celebrating.                    (Refrain)

    1. Come, lift your heads with joy; come, lift up your tower;

    The King of glory comes in full might and power.

    1. Who is this King of glory of whom we’re singing?

    Our God, this Lord of hosts, the victory is bringing.             (Refrain)
