    Welcome and Announcements

    Gathering the Family Together

    Praise to the Lord, the Almighty

    1. Praise to the LORD, the Almighty, the King of creation!

    O my soul, praise him, for he is your health and salvation!

    Come, all who hear; brothers and sisters, draw near,

    Join me in glad adoration!

    1. Praise to the LORD, who o’er all things is wondrously reigning,

    Sheltering you under his wings, oh, so gently sustaining.

    Have you not seen all that is needful has been

    sent by his gracious ordaining.

    1. Praise to the Lord, who will prosper your work and defend you.

    Surely his goodness and mercy shall daily attend you.

    Ponder a new what the Almighty can do

    as with his love he befriends you.

    1. Praise to the LORD! Oh, let all that is in me adore him!

    All that has life and breath, come now with praises before him!

    Let the amen sound from his people again.

    Gladly forever adore him!

    Call To Worship

    Scripture Reading:                                                                          Psalm 3

    A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son

    1 O Lord, how many are my foes!
    Many are rising against me;

    2 many are saying of my soul,
    “There is no salvation for him in God.”

    3 But you, O Lord, are a shield about me,
    my glory, and the lifter of my head.

    4 I cried aloud to the Lord,
    and he answered me from his holy hill.

    5 I lay down and slept;
    I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.

    6 I will not be afraid of many thousands of people
    who have set themselves against me all around.

    7 Arise, O Lord! Save me, O my God!

    For you strike all my enemies on the cheek;
    you break the teeth of the wicked.

    8 Salvation belongs to the Lord;
    your blessing be on your people!!

    Prayer of Invocation

    Declaring What We Believe:

    Salvation Belongs to Our God

    1. Salvation belongs to our God, who sits upon the throne,

    and to the Lamb.

    Praise and glory, wisdom and thanks, honor and power and strength

    Be to our God forever and ever, be to our God forever and ever,

    Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.

    1. And we, the redeemed, shall be strong

    in purpose and unity, declaring aloud,

    Praise and glory, wisdom and thanks, honor and power and strength

    Be to our God forever and ever, be to our God forever and ever,

    Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.

    We Respond to God’s Presence

    Rejoice

    1. Rejoice in the Lord, now and always, sing it again, we rejoice.

    Delight in the love He has shown us, gratefully lift up your voice.

    His gentleness among us will join our hearts with praise.

    We gather in His goodness, a family of grace.

    Refrain:

    With each breath He’s given, praise the Lord!

    In these times we live in, we will praise the Lord.

    Throughout every season, I am sure

    we have every reason to praise the Lord.

    1. Rejoice and be anxious for nothing, praying for all that you need.

    Come with a song of thanksgiving; lay your requests at His feet.

    His peace will fall upon us, to guard our hearts and minds

    In Christ, who reigns eternal; the Shepherd of our lives.

    Repeat Refrain

    1. Rejoice in the Lord, now and always; tell of the good He has done.

    Worship the Lord, to remember all of the joy yet to come.

    The hope that burns within us the dark cannot destroy,

    With praise that’s never ending, we say again, “Rejoice!”

    Repeat Refrain

    We have every reason to praise the Lord.

  • Song of the Prophets

    Ancient Prophets

    In ages past the mighty Lord by prophets spoke the Word,

    And from their lips God’s great design throughout the earth was heard.

    In revelation, parable, bold fantasy, and dream,

    They echoed God’s eternal vow to ransom and redeem.

    Jonah

    Alone, I called in my distress, “Good Lord, deliver me!”

    And from the cruel jaws of death, God’s mercy set me free.

    How can I then but offer up my life for all my days,

    or cease to lift my voice to God in songs of grateful praise!

    Prophets’ Promise

    Yet still in present, troubled days we seek to hear God’s voice

    And in the face of our distress, find reason to rejoice.

    Grant us the wisdom to discern through faith who we should be—

    A fallen race, restored through grace, a captive world set free

    His Mercy Is More

    1. What love could remember no wrongs we have done;

    Omniscient, all knowing, He counts not their sum.

    Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore;

    Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.

    Refrain:      Praise the Lord! His mercy is more.

    Stronger than darkness, new every morn;

    Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.

    1. What patience would wait as we constantly roam;

    What Father, so tender, is calling us home.

    He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor.

    Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.

    Refrain:      Praise the Lord! His mercy is more.

    Stronger than darkness, new every morn;

    Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.

    1. What riches of kindness He lavished on us;

    His blood was the payment, His life was the cost.

    We stood ‘neath a debt we could never afford;

    Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.

    Refrain:      Praise the Lord! His mercy is more.

    Stronger than darkness, new every morn;

    Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.

    (Repeat Refrain)

    Sharing of the Elements

    We invite to the Lord’s Table all those who are baptized disciples of Jesus Christ and are under the authority of Christ and His body, the Church. By eating the bread and drinking the wine with us as a visitor, you are acknowledging to the elders of this local church that you are in covenant with God and an active member of a congregation in which the gospel is faithfully confessed, taught, and believed. You also acknowledge that you are a sinner, without hope except in the sovereign mercy of God, and that you are trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. If you have any doubt about your participation, please speak to the elders before or after the service.
