Welcome and Announcements
Gathering the Family Together
Psalm 33 B Blue Psalter, pg. 215
Rejoice, You Righteous, in the Lord
- Rejoice, you righteous, in the Lord, in song your voices raise;
Awake the psaltery and harp, lift up God’s name in praise!
For by God’s word the heavens were hung: God laid the sea and land,
And all that fills the firmament were made at God’s command.
- Let every nation, every land unite with one accord,
And humbly lay their heartfelt prayers in awe before the Lord.
How happy are God’s faithful ones, how blest God’s chosen heirs,
For surely an inheritance of glory shall be theirs!
- Behold, God’s ever-watchful eye sees through our dark despair;
The arms of Grace encircle us with strong, yet tender care;
The hope of all the ages past, that sets at peace our fears,
God’s mercy and God’s steadfast love shall follow all our years.

Call To Worship
Scripture Reading: I Peter 5:8-9
8 Be sober minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
9 Resist him, firm in your faith…
Scripture Reading: Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.
16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;
17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,
18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints…
Prayer of Invocation
Declaring What We Believe
Come Praise and Glorify
(Based on Ephesians 1)
Come praise and glorify our God, the Father of our Lord
In Christ He has in heav’nly realms His blessings on us poured
For pure and blameless in His sight He destined us to be
And now we’ve been adopted through His Son eternally
Refrain: To the praise of Your glory,
To the praise of Your mercy and grace
To the praise of Your glory
You are the God who saves
Come praise and glorify our God Who gives His grace in Christ
In Him our sins are washed away redeemed through sacrifice
In Him God has made known to us the myst’ry of His will
That Christ should be the head of all His purpose to fulfill (Refrain)
Come praise and glorify our God for we’ve believed the Word
And through our faith we have a seal the Spirit of the Lord
The Spirit guarantees our hope until redemption’s done
Until we join in endless praise to God, the Three in One (Refrain)

We Respond to God’s Presence
The Battle Belongs to the Lord
In heavenly armor we’ll enter the land,
The battle belongs to the Lord.
No weapon that’s fashioned against us will stand,
The battle belongs to the Lord.
Chorus: And we sing glory, honor, power and strength to the Lord.
We sing glory, honor, power and strength to the Lord.
When the power of darkness comes in like a flood,
The battle belongs to the Lord.
He’ll raise up a standard, the pow’r of His blood,
The battle belongs to the Lord. Repeat Chorus
When your enemy presses in hard, do not fear,
The battle belongs to the Lord.
Take courage my friend, your redemption is near,
The battle belongs to the Lord. Repeat Chorus

Before His Eye
- Faces covered, wings resplendent, Seraphim before Him bow!
Angels tremble, martyrs weep, and saints perfected praise Him now!
Holy is the angels’ Maker, He who spread His stars in the skies.
Holy is the Judge of Creation, all lies bare before His eyes!
- Woe is me, for I am ruined! For my eyes have seen the King!
Robed in righteousness, and holy: Hear the Voice of Judgment ring!
All unclean, my lips, my spirit, vile and foul in all I do!
All corrupt, my heart within me,
wretched, wicked through and through!
- Every hope I must abandon! Guilty, I await His stroke.
Now must come His righteous sentence:
Wait! A Bright Form parts the smoke!
Bleeding feet stride through the temple!
Christ approaches, weeping love!
Wounded hands remove my filthiness, God’s caress in every move.
- Freely righteous! Full atonement! Justified, from sin set free!
By the Word of God the Father, I’m declared as pure as HE!
At the Cross, His wounds acquit me!
Fatal wounds proclaim His praise!
And the Empty Tomb sings His glories:
Justice is assuaged by Grace!

Jesus Saves
Freedom’s calling, chains are falling, hope is dawning bright and true.
Day is breaking, night is quaking. God is making all things new.
Jesus saves.
- Hear the heart of heaven beating, “Jesus saves, Jesus saves,”
And the hush of mercy breathing, “Jesus saves, Jesus saves.”
Hear the host of angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”
And the sounding joy repeating, “Jesus saves.”
- See the humblest hearts adore Him. Jesus saves. Jesus saves.
And the wisest bow before Him. Jesus saves. Jesus saves.
See the sky alive with praise, melting darkness in its blaze.
There is light forevermore in “Jesus saves.”
- He will live, our sorrow sharing. Jesus saves. Jesus saves.
He will die our burden bearing. Jesus saves. Jesus saves.
“It is done!” will shout the cross, “Christ has paid redemptions’ cost!”
While the empty tomb’s declaring, “Jesus saves!”
Freedom’s calling, chains are falling, hope is dawning bright and true.
Day is breaking, night is quaking. God is making all things new. (Repeat)
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
- Oh, to grace, how great a debtor, Jesus saves. Jesus saves.
Are the saints who shout together, Jesus saves. Jesus saves.
Rising up so vast and strong, lifting up salvation’s song.
The redeemed will sing forever, “Jesus saves!”
Rising up so vast and strong, lifting up salvation’s song.
The redeemed will sing forever, “Jesus saves!”

Sharing of the Elements
We invite to the Lord’s Table all those who are baptized disciples of Jesus Christ and are under the authority of Christ and His body, the Church. By eating the bread and drinking the wine with us as a visitor, you are acknowledging to the elders of this local church that you are in covenant with God and an active member of a congregation in which the gospel is faithfully confessed, taught, and believed. You also acknowledge that you are a sinner, without hope except in the sovereign mercy of God, and that you are trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. If you have any doubt about your participation, please speak to the elders before or after the service.

Soldiers of Christ Arise
Soldiers of Christ, arise and put your armor on,
Strong in the strength which God supplies through His eternal Son;.
Strong in the Lord of hosts, and in His mighty power,
Who in the strength of Jesus trusts is more than conqueror.
Stand then in His great might, with all His strength endued
And take, to arm you for the fight, the panoply of God.
From strength to strength go on and wrestle, fight and pray;
Tread all the powers of darkness down and win the well-fought day.
Leave no unguarded place, no weakness of the soul,
Take every virtue, every grace, and fortify the whole.
That having all things done and all your conflicts past;
Ye may o’ercome through Christ alone and stand complete at last.
