Welcome and Announcements
Gathering the Family Together
Still, My Soul, Be Still
Still, my soul, be still, and do not fear
Though winds of change may rage tomorrow
God is at your side; No longer dread
The fires of unexpected sorrow
Refrain: God, You are my God
And I will trust in You and not be shaken
Lord of peace renew
A steadfast spirit within me
To rest in You alone
Still, my soul, be still; Do not be moved
By lesser lights and fleeting shadows
Hold onto His ways with shield of faith
Against temptations flaming arrows
Repeat Refrain
Still, my soul, be still; Do not forsake
The Truth you learned in the beginning
Wait upon the Lord and hope will rise
As stars appear when day is dimming
Repeat Refrain

Call To Worship
Scripture Reading: Philippians 2:1-11
1 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy,
2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.
3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,
6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,
7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,
10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Prayer of Invocation
Declaring What We Believe:
The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, Born of the virgin Mary;
Suffered under Pontius Pilate;
Was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell;
The third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
And sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From whence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost;
The holy universal church; The communion of saints;
The forgiveness of sins; The resurrection of the body;
And the life everlasting. Amen.
We Respond to God’s Presence
Spirit of Heaven
- Spirit of Heaven, flood over me,
forming Christ in all that I do.
Turn every sinful desire in me
into holy passion for You.
Refrain: O, Spirit of God, come down; Let mercy and grace abound.
My passionate prayer shall be: Christ in me.
- Spirit of beauty and holiness,
come refine with fire from above,
Till I am cast in Your righteousness
and I love the things that you love. (Refrain)
- Breathe Your forgiveness when darkness falls
and my heart is heavy with sin.
Fill me with faith for the higher cause
of the ceaseless praise of the King. (Refrain)

I Will Wait Upon the Lord (Psalm 40)
Refrain: I will wait upon the Lord for he will hear my cry.
He has pulled me from the grave and set me by his side.
He has set my feet upon the solid ground of the Cornerstone.
- He has put a new song on my tongue.
A brand new song of praise to our God, to our God. (Refrain)
- Many will hear the things you’ve done for me.
And many more will see the power of your deeds, of your deeds.
(Refrain)
- God will not remove his mercy from me.
His goodness and his truth have set me free, set me free. (Refrain)
- Lord, you’ve always been my help and my strength,
And I will trust in you to hear me again, hear me again. (Refrain)

God And God Alone
God and God alone created all these things we call our own,
From the mighty to the small, the glory in them all
Is God’s and God’s alone!
God and God alone reveals the truth of all we call unknown,
And all the best and worst of man won’t change the Master’s plan,
It’s God’s and God’s alone!
Chorus: God and God alone is fit to take the universe’s throne:
Let everything that lives reserve its truest praise -
For God - and God alone!
God and God alone will be the joy - of our eternal home,
He will be our one desire, our hearts will never tire
Of God and God alone!
Repeat Chorus

Sermon Hymn:
Psalm 119:121-128 (Ayin)
Grant me understanding, that I may live.
121 I have done what is just and right; *
do not leave me to my oppressors.
122 Guarantee your servant’s well-being; *
do not let the godless oppress me.
Grant me understanding, that I may live.
123 My eyes fail from watching for your salvation, *
and for the fulfillment of your righteous promise.”
124 Deal with your servant according to your steadfast love, *
and teach me your statutes.
Grant me understanding, that I may live.
125 I am your servant; give me understanding, *
so that I know your decrees.
126 It is time for the LORD to act, *
for your law has been broken.
Grant me understanding, that I may live.
125 Truly I love your commandments *
more than gold, more than fine gold.
127 Truly I direct my steps by all your precepts; *
I hate every false way.
Grant me understanding, that I may live.

May the Peace
- May the peace of God our Heav’nly Father,
and the grace of Christ the risen Son,
And the fellowship of God the Spirit
keep our hearts and minds within His love.
And to Him be praise for His glorious reign,
from the depths of earth to the heights of Heav’n;
We declare the name of the Lamb once slain—
Christ eternal the King of Kings.
- May this peace which passes understanding,
and this grace which makes us what we are,
And this fellowship of His communion
make us one in spirit and in heart.
And to Him be praise for His glorious reign,
from the depths of earth to the heights of Heav’n;
We declare the name of the Lamb once slain—
Christ eternal the King of Kings.
