Call To Worship

Scripture Reading:                                                      Colossians 3:1-11

Put on the New Self

¹ If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

² Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

³ For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

⁴ When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

⁵ Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

⁶ On account of these the wrath of God is coming.

⁷ In these you too once walked, when you were living in them.

⁸ But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.

⁹ Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices

¹⁰ and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.

¹¹ Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.

Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery
1. Come behold the wondrous myst’ry in the dawning of the King,
He the theme of heaven’s praises, robed in frail humanity.

In our longing, in our darkness, now the Light of Life has come.

Look to Christ, who condescended, took on flesh to ransom us.
1. Come behold the wondrous myst’ry, He the perfect Son of Man,
In His living, in His suffering, never trace nor stain of sin.

See the true and better Adam, come to save the hell-bound man.

Christ the great and sure fulfillment of the law, in Him we stand.

In the stead of ruined sinners, hangs the Lamb in victory.

See the price of our redemption; see the Father’s plan unfold.

Bringing many sons to glory, grace unmeasured, love untold.

We Are Sent Forth in Worship

to Share the Gospel

There is a Higher Throne
1. There is a higher throne than all this world has known,
Where faithful ones from ev’ry tongue will one day come.

Before the Son we’ll stand, made faultless through the Lamb;

Believing hearts find promised grace; Salvation comes.

Chorus: Hear Heaven’s voices sing; Their thund’rous anthem rings

Through emerald courts and sapphire skies; Their praises rise.

All glory, wisdom, pow’r, strength,

thanks and honour are to God, our King,

Who reigns on high forevermore.
1. And there we’ll find our home; Our life before the throne.
We’ll honour Him in perfect song where we belong.

He’ll wipe each tear stained eye as thirst and hunger die.
