Welcome and Announcements
Gathering the Family Together
Father, We have Sinned
- Father, we have sinned in word, and deed, and thought;
Through ignorance, through weakness, through deliberate fault.
We’ve sinned against our neighbors and against You, Lord.
Yet we are truly sorry, and we turn to You once more.
- Father of the nations, You who bless the poor—
We’re servants of the endless want and strive for more.
We’ve made our greed a virtue, while the children starve;
Come change our joy to sorrow, till our lives reflect Your heart.

Call To Worship
Scripture Reading: Ephesians 1:3-10
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,
4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love
5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,
6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight
9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ
10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
Prayer of Invocation
Declaring What We Believe
Confession of Sin and Supplication of Grace
O Lord, we openly admit that you know us thoroughly.
Our deepest secrets are open before you.
You know our thoughts before they are conceived in our minds.
We cannot hide from you.
Therefore, we ask that you disclose unto us our sins
so that we may humble ourselves again in your sight
and seek your forgiveness and grace.
We admit that we have tolerated sinful thoughts about power, lust,
greed, jealousy, malice, and other things that grieve your heart.
We have committed sins of commission and omission.
But we seek your mercy and cleansing from our sins
by the blood of Christ.
And we thank you for your Spirit who enables us
to walk in holiness and obedience.
Grant us the grace to please you this day and forever.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
We Respond to God’s Presence
Holy Spirit, Living Breath of God
Holy Spirit, living Breath of God,
Breathe new life into my willing soul.
Bring the presence of the risen Lord
To renew my heart and make me whole.
Cause Your Word to come alive in me;
Give me faith for what I cannot see;
Give me passion for Your purity.
Holy Spirit, breathe new life in me.
Holy Spirit, come abide within;
May Your joy be seen in all I do—
Love enough to cover ev’ry sin
In each thought and deed and attitude,
Kindness to the greatest and the least,
Gentleness that sows the path of peace.
Turn my striving into works of grace.
Breath of God, show Christ in all I do.
Holy Spirit, from creation’s birth,
Giving life to all that God has made,
Show Your power once again on earth;
Cause Your church to hunger for Your ways.
Let the fragrance of our prayers arise.
Lead us on the road of sacrifice
That in unity the face of Christ
Will be clear for all the world to see.

I Am Not My Own
- The One who made the heavens made my heart and soul,
Before I drew a breath, I was loved and known.
I am His creation, the Maker’s masterpiece,
and all that He designs will be done in me.
- My Body is a temple of the Living God,
I’ll worship in this house that His blood has bought.
As I bear His image, oh may I not profane
The holiness I hold in this earthly frame.
Refrain: I belong to the Lord; oh, I am not my own.
I belong to the Lord; I am not my own.
I will honor Him, for this I know:
I belong to the Lord; I am not my own.
- And if He has redeemed me, I am not my own;
The measure of my worth is His love alone.
He declares my standing and He declares my state.
So I will know myself by the name He gave.
(Repeat Refrain)
- I am not my own, and now my heart is free;
Oh, Maker, come and make what You will of me.
There is nothing broken that You cannot repair,
So Lord, I leave my life in your loving care.
I belong to the Lord; oh, I am not my own.
I belong to the Lord; I am not my own.
I will honor Him, for this I know:
I belong to the Lord; I am not my own.
I will honor Him, for this I know:
I belong to the Lord; I am not my own.

The Lord’s Prayer Song
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, Hallowed be Thy name.
On earth as it is in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.
And give us this day our daily bread, Hallowed be Thy name.
Forgive us our trespasses, Hallowed be Thy name.
As we forgive those who trespass against us, Hallowed be Thy name.
And lead us not into temptation, Hallowed be Thy name.
But deliver us from all evil, Hallowed be Thy name.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Forever, and ever and ever and ever, Hallowed be Thy name.
A-----men. A-----men.

We Worship Through Hearing
Sermon Hymn:
My Worth is Not in What I Own
My worth is not in what I own, not in the strength of flesh and bone
But in the costly wounds of love at the cross
My worth is not in skill or name, in win or lose, in pride or shame
But in the blood of Christ that flowed at the cross
Refrain:
I rejoice in my Redeemer; Greatest Treasure, Wellspring of my soul
I will trust in Him, no other. My soul is satisfied in Him alone.
As summer flowers we fade and die; Fame, youth and beauty hurry by
But life eternal calls to us at the cross
I will not boast in wealth or might or human wisdom’s fleeting light
But I will boast in knowing Christ at the cross
Repeat Refrain:
Two wonders here that I confess: My worth and my unworthiness
My value fixed - my ransom paid at the cross

We Are Sent Forth in Worship
to Share the Gospel
We Are Called to be God’s People
- We are called to be God’s people, showing by our lives His grace,
One in heart and one in spirit, sign of hope for all the race.
Let us show how He has changed us and remade us as His own;
Let us share our life together as we shall around His throne.
- We are called to be God’s servants, working in His world today;
Taking His own task upon us, all His sacred words obey.
Let us rise, then, to His summons, dedicate to Him our all,
That we may be faithful servants, quick to answer now His call.
- We are called to be God’s prophets, speaking for the truth and right;
Standing firm for godly justice, bringing evil into light.
Let us seek the courage needed, our high calling to fulfill,
That we all may know the blessing of the doing of God’s will.
