    Call to Worship

    Scripture Reading:

    Colossians 3:12-17

    12 Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,

    13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

    14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

    15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

    16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

    17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (ESV)

    Prayer of Invocation

    Beneath the Cross

    1. Beneath the cross of Jesus I find a place to stand,

    And wonder at such mercy that calls me as I am.

    For hands that should discard me hold wounds which tell me come.

    Beneath the cross of Jesus my unworthy soul is won.

    1. Beneath the cross of Jesus, His family is my own.

    Once strangers chasing selfish dreams; Now, one through grace alone.

    How could I now dishonor the ones that You have loved?

    Beneath the cross of Jesus, see the children called by God.

    1. Beneath the cross of Jesus, the path before the crown,

    We follow in His footsteps where promised hope is found.

    How great the joy before us to be His perfect bride.

    Beneath the cross of Jesus, we will gladly live our lives.

    Children’s Sermon

    (11:00 a.m. Only)

    We Respond to God’s Presence

    Be Thou My Vision

    1. Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;

    Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.

    Thou my best thought, by day or by night,

    Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

    1. Be Thou my wisdom, and Thou my true word;

    I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;

    Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;

    Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

    1. Be Thou my battle shield, sword for the fight;

    Be Thou my dignity, Thou my delight;

    Thou my soul’s shelter, Thou my high tower:

    Raise Thou me heavenward, O power of my power.

    1. Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,

    Thou mine inheritance, now and always:

    Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,

    High King of Heaven, my treasure Thou art.

    1. High King of Heaven, my victory won,

    May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s sun!

    Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,

    Still be my vision, O ruler of all.

    Make Me a Servant

    Make me a servant, humble and meek,

    Lord, let me lift up those who are weak,

    And may the prayer of my heart always be;

    Make me a servant, make me a servant,

    Make me a servant today.

    Forever I Will Love You, Lord

    Forever I will love You, Lord, forever I will serve You, Lord,

    Forever I am Yours, O Lord, and I will not turn back.

    I long to learn of all Your ways, Dwell in Your presence all my days,

    My love, my life, are Yours always, and I will not turn back.

    You gave Your all for me, O Lord, now I present my life, O Lord,

    A living sacrifice, O Lord, and I will not turn back.

    For You alone my spirit cries, there is none else that satisfies,

    My heart this empty world denies, and I will not turn back.
