    Praise to the Lord, the Almighty

    1. Praise to the LORD, the Almighty, the King of creation!

    O my soul, praise him, for he is your health and salvation!

    Come, all who hear; brothers and sisters, draw near,

    Join me in glad adoration!

    1. Praise to the LORD, who o’er all things so wondrously reigning,

    Sheltering you under his wings, oh, so gently sustaining.

    Have you not seen all that is needful has been

    sent by his gracious ordaining.

    1. Praise to the Lord, who will prosper your work and defend you.

    Surely his goodness and mercy shall daily attend you.

    Ponder anew what the Almighty can do

    as with his love he befriends you.

    1. Praise to the LORD! Oh, let all that is in me adore him!

    All that has life and breath, come now with praises before him!

    Let the amen sound from his people again.

    Gladly forever adore him!

    Call To Worship

    Scripture Reading:                                                           Isaiah 55:6-11

    6 Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near;

    7 let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

    8 ‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord.

    9 ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

    10 ‘For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,

    11 ‘so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.’                 (ESV).

    Declaring What We Believe

    Westminster Confession of Faith

    14.1-3 – Of Saving Faith

    I. The grace of faith, whereby the elect are enabled to believe to the saving of their souls, is the work of the Spirit of Christ in their hearts, and is ordinarily wrought by the ministry of the Word, by which also, and by the administration of the sacraments, and prayer, it is increased and strengthened.

    II. By this faith, a Christian believes to be true whatsoever is revealed in the Word, for the authority of God Himself speaking therein; and acts differently upon that which each particular passage thereof contains; yielding obedience to the commands, trembling at the threatenings, and embracing the promises of God for this life, and that which is to come. But the principal acts of saving faith are accepting, receiving, and resting upon Christ alone for justification, sanctification, and eternal life, by virtue of the covenant of grace.

    III. This faith is different in degrees, weak or strong; may be often and many ways assailed, and weakened, but gets the victory: growing up in many to the attainment of a full assurance, through Christ, who is both the author and finisher of our faith.

    Blessed Be Our God and Father

    Verse 1

    Blessed be our God and Father who has filled our lives with blessing:

    Every gift from heaven’s fullness now is ours in Jesus Christ.

    Oh, what riches of His favor poured out freely from His throne!

    We rejoice in praise for the glory of His grace.

    Verse 2

    Blessed be our God and Father who before the world’s foundation

    Knew He’d make us pure and blameless, changing sinners into saints.

    Oh, what mercy to be chosen and in love to bear His name!

    We rejoice in praise for the glory of His grace.

    Chorus:

    Hallelujah! To Your name be all the glory!

    Hallelujah! To Your name be all praise!

    Verse 3

    Blessed be our God and Father who with unimagined kindness

    Gave His only Son to save us for the glory of His name.

    Oh, what power in His passion, raised from death to endless reign!

    We rejoice in praise for the glory of His grace.

  • Have Mercy Upon Me, O God

    Have mercy upon me, O God,

    according to your loving kindness,

    according to your tender mercy.

    Blot out my transgressions

    and wash me thoroughly.

    O cleanse me from my sin.

    I hate my transgressions, O God,

    and I repent my sins before you.

    Against you only have I sinned

    and done what is evil

    within your sight, O God.

    Wash me and make me clean.

    For I have rebelled from my birth;

    My very bones have gone against you.

    O teach me all your truth in secret

    And purge me with hyssop;

    And then I shall be clean.

    O fill me with your joy.

    Create in me now a clean heart;

    Renew your Spirit in me wholly.

    O cast me not away to darkness

    And take not your Spirit

    from me, O Blessed One.

    O Lord, restore my soul.

    Open now my lips with praise

    And let my mouth show forth your greatness.

    Do not despise my broken spirit;

    Have mercy upon me,

    O God of hosts, I cry.

    Cleanse me and make me whole.

    Sharing of the Elements

    We invite to the Lord’s Table all those who are baptized disciples of Jesus Christ and are under the authority of Christ and His body, the Church. By eating the bread and drinking the wine with us as a visitor, you are acknowledging to the elders of this local church that you are in covenant with God and an active member of a congregation in which the gospel is faithfully confessed, taught, and believed. You also acknowledge that you are a sinner, without hope except in the sovereign mercy of God, and that you are trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. If you have any doubt about your participation, please speak to the elders before or after the service.

    His Mercy Is More

    Refrain:     Praise the Lord! His mercy is more.

    Stronger than darkness, new every morn;

    Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.

    1. What love could remember no wrongs we have done;

    Omniscient, all knowing, He counts not their sum.

    Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore;

    Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.    (Repeat Refrain)

    1. What patience would wait as we constantly roam;

    What Father, so tender, is calling us home.

    He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor.

    Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.    (Repeat Refrain).

    1. What riches of kindness He lavished on us;

    His blood was the payment, His life was the cost.

    We stood ‘neath a debt we could never afford;

    Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.    (Repeat Refrain).
