    Red Hymnal #249

    All Glory, Laud and Honor

    All glory, laud and honor to Thee, Redeemer King,

    To whom the lips of children made sweet hosannas ring:

    Thou art the King of Israel, Thou David’s royal Son,

    Who in the Lord’s name comest, the King and blessed one!

    The company of angels are praising Thee on high,

    And mortal men and all things created make reply:

    The people of the Hebrews with palms before Thee went;

    Our praise and prayer and anthems before Thee we present!

    To Thee, before Thy passion, they sang their hymns of praise;

    To Thee, now high exalted, our melody we raise:

    Thou didst accept their praises – accept the praise we bring,

    Who in all good delightest, Thou good and gracious King!

    We Respond to God’s Presence

    Lamb of God

    Your only son, no sin to hide,

    But You have sent Him from Your side

    To walk upon this guilty sod,

    And to become the Lamb of God.

    Refrain:      O Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God;

    I love the holy Lamb of God.

    O wash me in His precious blood.

    My Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.

    Your gift of love they crucified,

    They laughed and scorned Him as He died;

    The humble King they named a fraud,

    And sacrificed the Lamb of God.

    Repeat Refrain

    I was so lost I should have died,

    But You have brought me to Your side

    To be led by Your staff and rod,

    And to be called a lamb of God.

    O Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God;

    I love the holy Lamb of God.

    O wash me in His precious blood

    Till I am just a lamb of God.

    Worthy Is The Lamb

    Worthy is the Lamb that was slain;

    Worthy is the Lamb that was slain.

    Worthy is the Lamb that was slain, to receive

    Power and riches and wisdom and strength,

    Honor and glory and blessing!

    Worthy is the Lamb, Worthy is the Lamb,

    Worthy is the Lamb that was slain. Worthy is the Lamb!

    Behold the Lamb

    Behold the Lamb, behold the Lamb,

    Slain from the foundation of the world.

    For sinners crucified, O holy sacrifice,

    Behold the Lamb of God, behold the Lamb.

    Crown Him, crown Him, Worthy is the Lamb.

    Praise Him, praise Him, Heaven and Earth resound.

    Behold the Lamb, behold the lamb,

    Slain from the foundation of the world.

    For sinners crucified, O holy sacrifice,

    Behold the Lamb of God, behold the Lamb.

    Responsive Scripture Reading:

    Leader:          As the time approached for Him to be taken up to heaven,
    Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.  As He went along,
    people spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.

    When He came near the place where the road goes down
    the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:

    Everyone:     “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!”

    Leader:          The crowds that went ahead of Him and those that followed
    shouted:

    Everyone:     “Hosanna to the Son of David!  Blessed is He who comes in
    the name of the Lord!  Hosanna in the highest!”

    We Will Glorify

    We will glorify the King of kings; We will glorify the Lamb.

    We will glorify the Lord of lords, Who is the great “I Am”.

    Lord Jehovah reigns in majesty; We will bow before His throne.

    We will worship Him in righteousness, We will worship Him alone.

    He is Lord of heaven, Lord of earth; He is Lord of all who live.

    He is Lord above the universe; All praise to Him we give.

    Hallelujah to the King of kings;  Hallelujah to the Lamb.

    Hallelujah to the Lord of lords, Who is the great “I Am”

  • Choral Reading of The Passion and Death of Jesus

    According to Matthew 26:14--27:66

    Congregation’s Part (Later in the Narrative)

    Pilate:         “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?”

    Narrator:   And they said,

    Crowd:        “Barabbas.”

    Narrator:  Pilate said to them,

    Pilate:         “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?”

    Narrator:   They all said,

    Crowd:        “Let him be crucified.”

    Narrator:   And he said,

    Pilate:         “Why, what evil has he done?”

    Narrator:   But they shouted all the more,

    Crowd:        “Let him be crucified.”

    Narrator:   So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that a riot was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying,

    Pilate:         “I am innocent of this righteous man’s blood; see to it yourselves.”

    Narrator:   And all the people answered,

    Crowd:        “His blood be on us and on our children!”

    Narrator:   And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus the King of the Jews.” Then two robbers were crucified with him, one on the right and one on the left. And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads and saying,

    Crowd:        “You who would destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”

    Red Hymnal #246

    “Man of Sorrows,” What a Name!

    “Man of sorrows!” what a name for the Son of God who came

    Ruined sinners to reclaim! Hallelujah, what a Savior!

    Bearing Shame and scoffing rude, in my place condemned He stood,

    Sealed my pardon with His blood; Hallelujah, what a Savior!

    Guilty, vile and helpless we, Spotless Lamb of God was He;

    Full atonement! Can it be? Hallelujah, what a Savior!

    Lifted up was He to die, “It is finished,” was His cry;

    Now in heaven exalted high, Hallelujah, what a Savior!

    When He comes, our glorious King, All His ransomed home to bring,

    Then anew this song we’ll sing, Hallelujah, what a Savior!

    What Wondrous Love Is This?

    1. What wondrous love is this, O my soul, O my soul!

    What wondrous love is this, O my soul!

    What wondrous love is this that caused the Lord of bliss

    To bear the dreadful curse for my soul, for my soul,

    To bear the dreadful curse for my soul.

    1. When I was sinking down, sinking down, sinking down,

    When I was sinking down, sinking down,

    When I was sinking down beneath God’s righteous frown,

    Christ laid aside His crown for my soul, for my soul,

    Christ laid aside His crown for my soul.

    1. To God and to the Lamb, I will sing, I will sing;

    To God and to the Lamb, I will sing.

    To God and to the Lamb who is the great I Am;

    While millions join the theme, I will sing, I will sing;

    While millions join the theme, I will sing.

    1. And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on;

    And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on.

    And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing and joyful be;

    And through eternity, I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on;

    And through eternity, I’ll sing on.

    Benediction
