    Welcome and Announcements

    Jesus is Lord

    “Jesus is Lord” the cry that echoes through creation;

    Resplendent pow’r, eternal Word, our Rock.

    The son of God, the King whose glory fills the heavens.

    Yet bids us come to taste this Living Bread.

    “Jesus is Lord” whose voice sustains the stars and planets,

    Yet in His wisdom laid aside His Crown.

    Jesus the Man, who washed our feet, who bore our suff’ring,

    Became a curse to bring salvation’s plan.

    “Jesus is Lord” the tomb is gloriously empty!

    Not even death could crush this King of love!

    The price is paid, the chains are loosed, and we’re forgiven,

    And we can run into the arms of God.

    “Jesus is Lord” a shout of joy, a cry of anguish,

    As He returns and every knee bows low.

    Then every eye and every heart will see His glory;

    The Judge of all will take His children home.

    Call To Worship

    Scripture Reading:                                                           I John 4:13-17

    13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

    14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

    15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

    16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

    17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world.

    Declaring What We Believe

    Westminster Confession of Faith

    18.4 – Assurance of Grace and Salvation

    The assurance true believers have of their salvation may be shaken, lessened, or interrupted for various reasons: from neglecting to preserve it; from committing some particular sin, which wounds the conscience and grieves the Spirit; from some sudden or strong temptation; or from God’s withdrawing the sense of his presence and allowing them to walk in darkness. Nevertheless, they are never completely without God’s seed, the life of faith, the love of Christ and of other believers, and the sincere heart and obedient conscience, out of which the Spirit may revive this assurance in due time and by which they are in the meantime kept from complete despair.

    We Respond to God’s Presence

    All My Boast Is in Jesus

    Verse 1

    What wonder of wonders, what love is this; that Christ would die for me!

    His goodness, His merit, His righteousness, this sinner’s only plea.

    O foolish pride, be crucified; the work is finished!

    Chorus:

    All my boast is in Jesus; all my hope is His love.

    And I will glory forever in what the Cross has done.

    Verse 2

    Now fully forgiven, my life is filled with graces undeserved.

    For mercy that flowed down that sacred hill, let praises now return.

    Rise up, my soul, and bless the Lord! Who else is worthy?

    Repeat Chorus

    Bridge:

    O, Praise the One, forever blessed! Him alone my heart adores.

    And I will boast in nothing less than the love of Christ my Lord

    Repeat Bridge

    Verse 3

    I boast not in riches, in strength or might, but in the grace of God.

    I glory in weakness, to live is Christ in plenty or in want.

    That I may know that all may see His power within me!

    Repeat Chorus

    Coda:

    Now I stand in this freedom; ransomed, clean in His sight,

    And I cannot be ashamed for my boast is Jesus Christ.

    My boast is Jesus Christ. Forever, my boast is Jesus Christ.

  • Be Still and Know

    Psalm 46:4-5, 7-11

    Verse:

    There is a river whose streams make glad,

    The city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.

    God is within her, she will not fall,

    God will help her at break of day.

    Come and see what the Lord has done.

    Chorus:

    He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth.

    He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;

    He burns the shields with fire!

    He says, “Be still and know that I am God.”

    Repeat Verse and Chorus

    Bridge:

    The Lord Almighty is with us, The God of Jacob is our fortress.

    The Lord Almighty is with us. Come and see what the Lord has done;

    Come and see what the Lord has done!

    Repeat Chorus

    Ending:

    He says, “Be still and know that I am God.”

    This is Love (1 John 4:9-10)

    This is how God showed his love among us,

    This is how God showed his love among us;

    He sent his one and only Son into the world,

    that we might live through Him.

    This is love, this is love:

    not that we loved God, but that he loved us.

    This is how God showed his love among us,

    This is how God showed his love among us;

    He sent his one and only Son into the world,

    that we might live through Him.

    This is love, this is love:

    Not that we loved God, but that he loved us.

    And sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice,

    And sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

    This is love, this is love:

    Not that we loved God, but that he loved us

    And sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice,

    And sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

    This is love, this is love:

    Not that we loved God, not that we loved God,

    Not that we loved God, but that he loved us.

    All I Have Is Christ

    Verse 1

    I once was lost in darkest night, yet thought I knew the way

    The sin that promised joy and life had led me to the grave

    I had no hope that You would own a rebel to Your will

    And if You had not loved me first I would refuse You still

    Verse 2

    But as I ran my hell bound race indifferent to the cost

    You looked upon my helpless state and led me to the cross

    And I beheld God’s love displayed: You suffered in my place

    You bore the wrath reserved for me; now all I know is grace.

    Chorus:           Hallelujah, All I have is Christ!

    Hallelujah, Jesus is my life!

    Verse 3

    Now Lord, I would be Yours alone and live so all might see

    The strength to follow Your commands could never come from me.

    O Father, use my ransomed life in any way You choose

    And let my song forever be: “My only boast is You!”

    Repeat Chorus twice
