Psalm 145G Blue Psalter, pg 952
We Will Extol You, God and King
- We will extol you, God and King, and bless your holy name.
Day after day we’ll sing your praise, forever and forever.
Chorus: One generation will call to the next:
“Our God is good and his hand is strong!”
All of the world sings his marvelous acts
And our voice will join with theirs in the song.
- Great is the Lord! In all his ways he’s greatly to be praised.
Were we to search for endless days, his greatness none could fathom.
(repeat chorus)
- We contemplate the splendor of the world your hand has made.
Far greater still the majesty we see in the Creator!
(repeat chorus)
- Now may your name be sung in every tongue in every place.
Singing the fame of your great love in ev’ry generation.
(repeat chorus)

Call To Worship
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 43:1-4
The Savior of Israel
1 But now, O Jacob, listen to the LORD who created you.
O Israel, the one who formed you says,
“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.2 When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.3 For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom;
I gave Ethiopia and Seba in your place.4 Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me.
You are honored, and I love you.Prayer of Invocation
Declaring What We Believe
Westminster Confession of Faith
17.1-2 – Of the Perseverance of the Saints
- They, whom God hath accepted in his Beloved, effectually called, and sanctified by his Spirit, can neither totally nor finally fall away from the state of grace, but shall certainly persevere therein to the end, and be eternally saved.
- This perseverance of the saints depends not upon their own free will, but upon the immutability of the decree of election, flowing from the free and unchangeable love of God the Father; upon the efficacy of the merit and intercession of Jesus Christ, the abiding of the Spirit, and of the seed of God within them, and the nature of the covenant of grace: from all which arises also the certainty and infallibility thereof.
We Respond to God’s Presence
All Praise to Him
Verse 1
All praise to Him, the God of light
Who formed the mountains by His might
All praise to Him Who names the stars
That sing His fame in skies afar
All praise to Him Who reigns in love
Who guides the galaxies above
Yet bends to hear our every prayer
With sovereign pow’r and tender care
Verse 2
All praise to Him whose love is seen
In Christ the Son, the Servant King
Who left behind His glorious throne
To pay the ransom for His own
All praise to Him Who humbly came
To bear our sorrow, sin, and shame
Who lived to die, Who died to rise
The all-sufficient sacrifice
Verse 3
All praise to Him whose pow’r imparts
The love of God within our hearts
The Spirit of all truth and peace
The fount of joy and holiness
To Father, Son, and Spirit now
Our souls we lift, our wills we bow
To You, the triune God, we raise
With loving hearts our song of praise
To Father, Son, and Spirit now
Our souls we lift, our wills we bow
To You, the triune God, we raise
With loving hearts our song of praise

I Come by the Blood
You are the perfect and righteous God Whose presence bears no sin
You bid me come to Your holy place
How can I enter in When Your presence bears no sin?
Through Him, who poured out His life for me, The atoning Lamb of God
Through Him, and His work alone I boldly come
Chorus: I come by the blood, I come by the cross
Where Your mercy flows, From hands pierced for me
For I dare not stand on my righteousness
My every hope rests on what Christ has done
And I come by the blood
You are the high and exalted King, The One the angels fear
So far above me in every way, Lord, how can I draw near
To the One the angels fear?
Through Him who laid down His life for me And ascended to Your side
Through Him, through Jesus alone I boldly come
Chorus: I come by the blood, I come by the cross
Where Your mercy flows, From hands pierced for me
For I dare not stand on my righteousness
My every hope rests on what Christ has done
And I come
Chorus: I come by the blood, I come by the cross
Where Your mercy flows, From hands pierced for me
For I dare not stand on my righteousness
My every hope rests on what Christ has done
And I come by the blood

How Firm a Foundation
How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!
What more can He say than to you He hath said,
To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?
“Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God and will still give thee aid;
I’ll strengthen and help thee, and cause thee to stand
Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.”
“When through fiery trials thy pathways shall lie,
My grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply;
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.”
“The soul that on Jesus has leaned for repose,
I will not, I will not desert to its foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I’ll never, no never, no never forsake.”
Benediction
