    Red Hymnal #321                        “Brethren, We Have Met to Worship”

    Call To Worship

    Scripture Reading:                                                         Isaiah 59:19-21

    19 So they shall fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of the LORD drives.

    20 ‘And a Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,’ declares the LORD.

    21 ‘And as for me, this is my covenant with them,’ says the LORD: ‘My Spirit that is upon you, and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children's offspring,’ says the LORD, ‘from this time forth and forevermore.’”

    Prayer of Invocation

    Declaring What We Believe:

    The Perfect Wisdom of Our God

    1    The perfect wisdom of our God, Revealed in all the universe:

    All things created by His hand, And held together at His command.

    He knows the mysteries of the seas, The secrets of the stars are His;

    He guides the planets on their way,

    And turns the earth through another day.

    1. The matchless wisdom of His ways,

    That mark the path of righteousness;

    His word a lamp unto my feet, His Spirit teaching and guiding me.

    And oh, the mystery of the cross, That God should suffer for the lost

    So that the fool might shame the wise,

    And all the glory might go to Christ!

    1. Oh grant me wisdom from above,

    To pray for peace and cling to love,

    And teach me humbly to receive

    The sun and rain of Your sovereignty.

    Each strand of sorrow has a place Within this tapestry of grace;

    So through the trials I choose to say:

    “Your perfect will in your perfect way.”

    We Respond to God’s Presence

    There is a Redeemer

    There is a Redeemer, Jesus, God's own Son,

    Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Holy One.

    Thank You, O my Father, for giving us Your Son;

    And leaving Your Spirit 'til the work on earth is done.

    Jesus, my Redeemer, Name above all names,

    Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, hope for sinners slain.

    Thank You, O my Father, for giving us Your Son;

    And leaving Your Spirit 'til the work on earth is done.

    When I stand in glory I will see His face,

    And there I'll serve my King forever, in that holy place.

    Thank You, O my Father, for giving us Your Son;

    And leaving Your Spirit 'til the work on earth is done.

    I Will Glory In My Redeemer

    Verse 1

    I will glory in my Redeemer

    Whose priceless blood has ransomed me

    Mine was the sin that drove the bitter nails

    And hung Him on that judgment tree

    I will glory in my Redeemer

    Who crushed the power of sin and death

    My only Savior before the holy Judge

    The Lamb who is my righteousness

    The Lamb who is my righteousness

    Verse 2

    I will glory in my Redeemer

    My life He bought, my love He owns

    I have no longings for another; I’m satisfied in Him alone

    I will glory in my Redeemer; His faithfulness my standing place

    Though foes are mighty and rush upon me

    My feet are firm, held by His grace;

    My feet are firm, held by His grace

    Verse 3

    I will glory in my Redeemer

    Who carries me on eagles’ wings

    He crowns my life with lovingkindness; His triumph song I’ll ever sing

    I will glory in my Redeemer; Who waits for me at gates of gold

    And when He calls me, it will be paradise

    His face forever to behold; His face forever to behold

    The Potter’s Hand

    Beautiful Lord, wonderful Savior,

    I know for sure all of my days are held in Your hand;

    Crafted into Your perfect plan.

    I’m captured by Your holy calling,

    Set me apart I know You are drawing me to Yourself;

    Lead me Lord, I pray.

    Chorus:     Take me, mold me, use me, fill me,

    I give my life to the Potter’s hand.

    Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me.

    I give my life to the Potter’s hand.

    You gently call me into your presence,

    Guiding me by Your Holy Spirit.

    Teach me, dear Lord, to live all of my life through Your eyes.

    I’m captured by Your holy calling.

    Set me apart I know You are drawing me to Yourself;

    Lead me Lord, I pray.

    Repeat Chorus

  • Children’s Sermon Song:

    I Might Be Small

    I might be small, but my God is big.

    I might be small, but my God is big.

    I might be small, but my God is big.

    My God is bigger so much bigger.

    God is bigger than anything.

    Sermon Hymn:

    Receive the Glory

    (Based on Psalm 115:1; Isaiah 43:1; 2 Corinthians 4:7; and Philippians 3:3)

    Chorus:     Not to us, but to Your name alone,

    Be all the glory, the glory, forever.

    For Your faithfulness and steadfast love,

    Receive the glory, the glory belongs to You.

    1. All that we’ve accomplished You have done for us.

    And any fruit we harvest is a gift from Your hand.

    We are only jars of clay that hold a priceless treasure.

    And we exist to bring You pleasure, O God.         (Chorus)

    1. Only by Your mercy can we come to You.

    Though we deserved Your judgment You have called us by name.

    So we glory in the cross of Christ that made us Yours forever,

    That joined our lives together to sing.                    (Chorus)
